Westminster's Third Field Hockey team is a testament to the depth of the school's field hockey program. For some members of the team, this will be the gateway to field hockey. For experienced players or returning veterans, it provides an opportunity to hone skills and to contribute valuable leadership.

Third Field Hockey is all about grit, grace and fundamentals. 重点是基本功, 调节, 喧嚣, 学习不同的位置, 策略, 团队合作, 游戏体验, 建立信任, good sportsmanship and enjoying the game. Many Third team players go on in subsequent years to 小君ior Varsity and even a few to Varsity Field Hockey.

Third Field Hockey plays a competitive schedule, often against much larger schools, which allows players to cultivate their skills and become better, 更强的运动员. The Martlets play home games on one of the many fine fields that comprise Westminster’s 35 acres of playing fields in beautiful Simsbury, 康涅狄格州.
